Bye 2013 and hi 2014

Yes, I know, it`s 3 weeks already in 2014, but it`s only now that I`ve got myself together and written something! Hope it will be good! 🙂

Let`s start with goodbyes. What happened in 2013, that is worth remembering?

Firstly, I finished Baltic School of Ministry, that took most of the time until june. It was a great time, as I already said in some of the previous posts. During this time I was introduced to the school in Denmark, where I am now. After finishing the school, I had a great summer, spending a lot of time in my church, ministering in 3 summer camps, 2 children camps and one – not so much, 2 camps with YWAM (Youth With A Mission), one other kind of camp. I didn`t manage to find a work in the summer, so I had time for other things.

What else happened in 2013? In august I went to Denmark. How? Have a look here. Since then I`ve been in Denmark, except for a week in November, when I had a chance to go home to Latvia and to Estonia. To know. how that happened, look here, for video – here. Otherwise, as I said, I was in the school for most of the time. In the middle, I had a chance to go and minister every second weekend to Odense Baptistkirke and once to go and give a testimony in Stenum, all in Denmark. I spent lovely Christmas with my schoolmate Aron and his family and had a nice New Year`s Eve.

What am I expecting from 2014 and what am I looking forward to?

I will continue studies in Mariager Hojskole, finish that in june, and continue and go for Bachelor in Theology next year. Unfortunately I didn`t get the money for the mission`s trip, which is underway already, as some of the students are already in India and Zambia, but that makes me look even more forward to our cultural trip to Rome, that will happen in april. In february we will have vacations, and I will spend them with another schoolmate of mine, Tobias, so it has to be a fun week. In march we will record a cd in SWM (School of Worship and Music), in a professional studio (hopefully), and there will probably be also mine and Tobias`s song, called Zion. In the summer I`ll probably stay in Denmark to work and earn some money for the stay next year. It`s all in God`s arms, but prayers would still be really appreciated. And then another year in this great little town called Mariager.

I also started to play rugby last year, so it will be fun and I`m looking forward to the new season with Randers Raiders, the rugby club.

I am a big fan of sports, so there are some things to be awaited for in the new year. The biggest is FIFA World Cup in Brasil, in summer, and Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. I also look forward for the new F1 season, that should be full of surprises, World Championships in Ice-Hockey, Gagarin`s Cup in Ice-Hockey, latvian domestic seasons in football and basketball. I hope to see latvian tennis player Ernests Gulbis to enter the Top 10 in ATP rankings and other things 🙂

What has happened already this year?

Last weekend we had a worship conference in the school, called Worship Extended, and we, as SWM also were taking part in it, presenting two of our songs, my and Tobias`s Zion, and Retfaerdigjord (Righteous from danish) by other two students, and also presenting two of Arvid Asmussen`s songs together with author himself. The conference featured also other well known worship leaders in Denmark and also Norway, so it was a great event and I got quite a bit of inspiration from that.

Ok, I think, that`s it for now, until next time then! 🙂

  1. Hey, I have a question for you, you are a christian right?
Why God created RAPE if he is so powerfull.
Why did he create retarded people ?

I don’t want you to stop belivin so called God, but explain me how is this right.

    1. Yes, I`m a christian.
God didn`t create rape or anything evil. In Genesis 1:31 it`s said “God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.” I don`t think, rape includes there and also retarded people. In Genesis chapter 3 we see, that God gave human a free will, choice. And human, that was made to be in a relationships with God, to be together with God, spend time in His presence, chose to disobey Him. He ate the fruit of the tree, that God forbid. That meant, that he turned away from God, became a sinner, interrupted this connection with God, became mortal. Sin went further and further, and you didn`t have to wait long for the first murder, and also first rape was around the same time, I`m pretty sure. You see, God didn`t create sin. Sin is not a thing, God created people, that chose to have sin in their lives.

But, happily, story doesn`t end there. God had a plan. He always does. He chose the perfect moment, 2000 years ago, when to send His Son, Jesus Christ on earth. Jesus chose himself to come down, to be a human. To understand that, I like to compare it with this – it means, that we become ants – compare a person and an ant of what they can do, what kind of size they have and so forth. So Jesus came down. Already, when He came down, it was clear, there`s something special about Him. You see, before that, God had chosen a nation, that was His, that was His servants – jews. And God promised in many cases throughout what we call Old Testament, that a Messiah will come at some point, a Saviour. When Jesus came, most of the jews thought, that Messiah will come as a military leader, but there was Jesus, fulfillling almost every prophecy (others will be fulfilled, when He comes again to wrap up this story on earth… about that – later). He was this promised Messiah. Some of the jews saw that. But then happened unbelievable – He`s being accused and died on a cross. All their hopes are gone. What shall we do now? In third day after His death, some followers of Jesus goes to see His grave, but He`s not there anymore. He is risen from the dead. About 300 people saw Him being alive after He was crucified. 40 days later, He went to heaven. Acts 1:9 describes it – After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

What does this story of Jesus mean? When He died on a cross, being both human and God, he was a human being, so he could be counted for them and was God, so he could be counted for all human, not only one. Bible teaches us, that for every sin there needs to be blood shed to have this sin payed for. We read in the Old Testament, that they were doing that all the time. Why don`t we do that now? Because of Jesus. He died for all of our sins. Why was it possible for Him to do that? Because, “we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” (Hebrews 4:15). It`s also written about Jesus.

Now, soon (noone, except for God knows when exactly) this story on earth will finish. God will send His Son, who is now on the throne in Heaven, back to earth. He will reign here for thousand years, and then will be trial. In this trial will be weighed, if you are good enough to enter the heaven, paradise, call it however you want. Noone will miss that. And the question will be – have you ever sinned? Let`s take the ten commandments. Have you ever stolen, lied, looked at a women, that is not your wife, with lust? If you have done any of this at least once, you have problems. I have done all of these three a lot. Then why do I have hope? Because of Jesus. Bible says “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:13). Call on the Lord, and He will go for trial instead of you, and He is the only good enough person to enter the heaven. 🙂

  2. “If two men, a man and his countryman, are struggling together, and the wife of one comes near to deliver her husband from the hand of the one who is striking him, and puts out her hand and seizes his genitals, then you shall cut off her hand; you shall not show pity.”
    — DEUTERONOMY 25:11-12

And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.”

“Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.”
    — EXODUS 21:20-21

“So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.”
    — 2 KINGS 6:29

From there Elisha went up to Bethel. While he was on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him. ‘Go up, baldhead,’ they shouted, ‘go up, baldhead!'”

“The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the LORD. Then two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the children to pieces.”
    — 2 KINGS 2:23-24

“Give beer to those who are perishing, wine to those who are in anguish.”
    — PROVERBS 31:6

Chapters 18 and 20 of Leviticus, which form part of the Holiness code, contain the following verses:
18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. (Leviticus 18:22 KJV)[1]
20:13 “If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.” (Leviticus 20:13 KJV)

About the Evil thing please, will you stop with this stupedity.
I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7, KJV)

And a little more to read.

    1. Each of these Scriptures just confirms my point about humanity, fallen in sin. As for the last scripture, it needs to be read in the context of Isaiah`s time and place – Israel was falling away from God, despite all that God had done to them, and He was angry. He is saying – I am the only God, don`t go to the idols. All the levitical laws needs to be taken into perspective, that it is going towards freedom. Bible says in Galatians 28 (NIV) There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. That is the goal for God, and in the time of levitical laws, it made much more freedom to women, then surrounding nations at that time. Good book to read more about this topic – Paul Copan – Is God a Moral Monster? ( )

      1. What about woman in the Bible it is constantly discriminating gay people, Woman and one thing that I really hate animal slaughter as SACRIFICE for God, animals that have done no harm to no one. I just think of that What the fuck ? Sorry for the saying 🙂

      2. It`s just what I said in the previous reply – in the Bible woman`s rights are much better, than in surrounding countries, both in Old and New Testaments.

About animals – in Genesis 1:28 is written: God said to Adam and Eve – “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” It means, that people are made to be higher than animals. And we also see, that if you have done something wrong, there are consequences. So, to have it “right” with God, blood needs to be shed. As animals are lower, if I can use this word, you better shed animal`s blood, than a human`s blood. But thanks to Jesus, that even that is not necessary anymore – Jesus was the Lamb that was slain for all of us.

About gays – Bible clearly says, that homosexualism is a sin: Leviticus 20:13 states: “‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.” But, that doesn`t make me a better person than they are – I`m just as much a sinner as they are – and I`m a liar, thief, etc. But God can forgive us, if we return from our sins and sin no more – 1.John 1:9 – If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 🙂

Oh, and thanks for your comments – it`s interesting to try and reply to them 🙂

  3. I dont think being gay is a sin. Why would it be ? There is nothing wrong with it at least I don’t see it like that ! You cannot control your sexuality, it would be really hard to force yourself in to something like that, or if it is trauma or something then why it is a sin ?
No problem, I am have gotten intrest about these things lately! 🙂

    1. Being gay is not a thing, that makes you who you are, it`s always a choice. And you can and you have to control your sexuality, otherwise you turn into such beasts as these nice people…

I don`t know, if you believe in supernatural beings, I do, it`s biblical. And I believe, that all, who claim to be homosexuals, have been deceived by the devil, satan. That is what stands behind it. And as I said, gays can`t have their own children, which proves, that it`s not natural and is wrong 🙂

  4. But isn’t the God creator of All ? A ? If he didn’t create cancer / rape / gay people (which by the way is none of our bussines what kind of sexuality we have( by your words ) choose why doesn’t he stop it , if God is real he must hae created the world when he was drunk 😀

    1. Yes, He is. He created things, people, animals, but He didn`t create sicknesses, and sins – that`s a part of fallen humanity.

He doesn`t stop it, because the time hasn`t come yet. He will stop that later with sending His Son back. Why is He “waiting”? So that more people could be saved (2. Pet. 3:9 – The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.)

  5. HaGod

Sorry for not posting for a while or commentating, I am back 😀
But didn’t God know that Adam and Eve apperantly our first 2 anchestors ( how the hell they created black, chinese, indian people) are going to take a bite of the forbidden fruit ? 🙂

    1. Yay 😀
Of course, He knew 🙂 It was all planned straight away. It all happened quickly, in a moment. They, all in Trinity, said – let us create man. And they knew straight away, what is going to happen, and straight away, Jesus says – I`ll deal with it – die on a cross, during Pontius Pilatus time, in Jerusalem. And they knew, that it is the only chance, which is satisfactory.

(I don`t know, what color were Adam and Eve. But it is said, that later, Noah`s sons were – one was whiter, one more like chinese today, one was darker (they were three), and from there are different people. I don`t remember though, where did I hear/read it 🙂 )
